Where do I get the App?
The Whistle! App for passengers is available for iOS on the App Store, and for Android on Google Play
Q) How do I pay for Whistle! services?
A) The app makes payment easy and we accept Visa, MC and Visa Debit. Be sure to take advantage of some exciting discounts for regular taxi rides in Whistler and Tofino with our Fare Pass, which can be found in the app’s Setting section. Our current Whistle! Fare Pass gets you $100 in rides with just $75.
Q) Is Whistle! available 24/7?
A) Check our Hours page for our schedules in Whistler and Tofino.
Q) How is Whistle! different than a taxi service?
A) Whistle! is an app based modern taxi service. Whether you call it ride hailing, ridesharing, ride app or modern taxi, Whistle! is the first app-based taxi in Whistler and the first rideshare company in Tofino.
Q) Can I pre-book a ride?
A) Yes, scheduling a ride in the app is easy. Use our scheduled button in the app. Once your ride is scheduled, you can see a calendar view of all your scheduled rides in the top right corner of the Whistle! App. Ride details will show 10 minutes prior to your pick-up.
Q) Are the fares given to me up front?
A) All Whistle! fares are upfront fares based on your original ride request quote. A driver tip is optional and is presented to each rider at the end of the ride when you rate your driver. Thank you for considering a tip for your local driver.
Q) Does Whistle! provide service between the Vancouver International Airport and Whistler?
A) Yes, Whistle! provides service from Vancouver International Airport and Whistler. Please note all Vancouver Airport rides must be pre-scheduled. We also offer return trips from Whistler to Vancouver Airport.
Q) Will I see on the app how long it will take until my ride shows up?
A) As soon as your driver has accepted your ride request, the driver car location will show up in your app. Please note that our app is different than other rideshare providers in that we do not show the locations of our cars on the app’s Home Screen. Enter in your destination and ride quote times will be given e.g. Pick up in 5 minutes. Once the ride is accepted and your driver is enroute, then your driver’s car will show on the map. Enjoy seeing your ride in the app all the way until drop off.
Q) Will the app tell me how long it will take to get to my destination?
A) Yes, the Whistle! app right from the Trip Request quote will provide the time to pick up and the time to drop off. Both times are continually updated in real time as your car responds to local traffic conditions, including snow conditions if you are in Whistler.
